Jerry and Cynthia have been happily married for many years and blessed with two children, a son Kelly Thomas, and daughter Lacey Elizabeth, and currently blessed with three grandchildren; granddaughter Alana Mekenzie, and grandsons Wade Joshua and Camden Jackson. Pastor Jerry has been serving the Lord for over three decades in several churches before coming to Adamstown, as a Bible study leader and teacher, church elder, and both a licensed and itinerant preacher. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and holds a 4-year undergraduate degree in Emergency Health Services, a practical chaplaincy certificate from the National Center for Chaplain Development, and graduate level work in Biblical Theology and Expositional Preaching.
Pastor Jerry is passionate about God’s Word; one of his favorite pastimes is reading and studying the Scriptures and engaging in conversations with people about the Bible. He is constantly encouraged by the prayer of Jesus in John 17:17, “Sanctify them
in the truth; Your word is truth” and by the apostle Paul’s guiding principle to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:28, “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”
